- We are proud to be Pueblo's only cooperative art gallery. We strive to be a positive voice for art in our community by participating in such events as the Art Walk, The Visual Artists Studio Tours, and fundraising events such as CASA's recent fundraiser & auction which raised over $12,000. Currently, we represent over 35 artists whose works include: oil, pastel, acrylic and mixed media paintings and wall art; wood ,metal, stone and found art sculptures; glass art, jewelry; pottery, functional art furniture; photography, prints, cards and calendars.

Together BHS the Bessemer Association of Neighborhood Development (B.A.N.D.), and NeighborWorks® of Pueblo are working to revitalize the unique neighborhood. Bessemer Historical Society’s Mission is to provide continuing education to the public through the preservation of the historic archives, artifacts and buildings of the Colorado Fuel and Iron Co. BHS collects, preserves, interprets, and exhibits the collections of the steel and mining industry, the Bessemer neighborhood, and the working families of the steel and mining industry in the region and the Industrial West.

Penrose, CO 81240 - The Desert Reef Hot Spring is owned and operated by L.J. Conrad who purchased the hot spring in 1986. The hot water well was first drilled by Concoc Oil in the 1940's. It was part of the Florence oil exploration project. The well's production is coming from 1,096 feet down into the earth. The water coming from this depth is extremely hot, 132 degrees F and of exceptional water purity. Water is cooled by the air convection, and is ideal for soaking between 100-104 degrees Fahrenheit, warmer in the winter, and as cool as possible in the summer. The color of the water is directly connected to the mineral Travertine.
