We had been doing outside work around our house in September of last year (2006) and my husband came across this spider and yelled to me in the house to get my camera. I knew it had to be something great so I ran outside with the camera and found my husband standing by the tarantula. We were fascinated by how it was oblivious to us. I crept up beside it and took photos and it went about it's business. Later I told neighbors about it and was told if they feel theatened they will "throw" their hairs. ugh..ha Luckily we were friendly.
